Single Row Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Single row cylindrical roller bearings can accommodate heavy radial loads and high speeds, they are manufactured in several different designs, the main difference being the configuration of the inner and outer race flanges. The most popular designs are listed below:

NU (metric) or LLRJ & MMRJ (imperial)

The outer ring of this design has two integral flanges while the inner ring has none. Axial displacement of the shaft with respect to the housing can be accommodated in both directions.

N (metric) or XLRJ, LRJ & MRJ (imperial)

The inner ring of this design has two integral flanges while the outer has none. Axial displacement of the shaft with respect to the housing can be accommodated in both directions.

NJ (metric)

The outer ring of this design has two integral flanges and the inner has one. These bearings therefore locate the shaft axially in one direction.

NUP (metric)

The outer ring of this design has two integral flanges and the inner has one and one non-integral flange in the form of a loose flange ring. These bearing can be used as locating bearings to locate the shaft axially in both directions.

Cylindrical Roller Bearings are manufactured in both metric and imperial sizes, ranging from 15mm up to 800mm bore or 1-5/8” up to 15”
