Borg Transmission ltd carry comprehensive range sprockets.

The material used is either C45 steel which can be both welded and hardened, or GG22 close grain cast iron dependent on sprocket design.

Taper Bore (Taperlock) Sprockets.

Designed to accept a standard Taper Bush, to avoid the need for machining and make assembly easier.

Available in 06B (3/8” pitch) through to 24B (1-1/2” pitch) in simplex, duplex and triplex.

Pilot Bore Sprocket

These are supplied as standard with a plain boss, with a pre-machined nominal pilot bore.
 
Available in 03B (5mm pitch) through to 32B (2” Pitch) in simplex, duplex and triplex.

Plate Wheels

These are pilot bore sprockets with no boss, usually used as idlers.

Available in 03B (5mm pitch) through to 32B (2” Pitch) in simplex, duplex and triplex.

Double Simplex Sprockets

These are sprockets designed to run two simplex (single strand) chains, not to be confused with a duplex sprocket which is designed to run a double stranded chain.

Available in both Taper Bore (Taperlock) and pilot bore, sizes from 06B (3/8” pitch) through to 16B (1” pitch)

Idler Sprockets

Plate wheels fitted with sealed ball journals, available in 5B (8mm pitch) through to 20B (1-1/4” pitch).

Machining

 Boring and keying in house service, along with any other special machining requirements you may have.

Stainless Steel

Many standard sprockets are available in stainless steel, please check availability with our sales team.
